Suspect arrested after pedestrian struck, killed in New Berlin hit-and-run


NEW BERLIN, Wisconsin — Police have arrested a suspect after a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in the City of New Berlin.

Authorities were called to the crash around 5:20 a.m. Saturday. Police say the male victim was walking when he was struck by a vehicle that did not stop. The victim was dead when emergency responders arrived. His name was not immediately released.

Police say the suspect vehicle was located shortly afterward on Greenfield Avenue in Milwaukee County. A male suspect is in custody.

The crash remains under investigation.
