WESLACO, Texas — Authorities have seized bundles of cash adding up to $620,000 during a South Texas traffic stop.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver from Mexico has been arrested on felony money laundering counts.

A trooper on patrol Thursday morning in Hidalgo (hih-DAL'-goh) County stopped a southbound car on U.S. 281 for a traffic violation. DPS says the investigation led to a search of the vehicle.
