GRANTS PASS, Oregon — A man wanted by the FBI in four Washington state bank robberies has been arrested while working on a recycling crew for a homeless shelter in southern Oregon.

The Grants Pass Daily Courier (http://bit.ly/1zR6XqA ) reports 55-year-old William Mitchell was arrested without incident Wednesday and taken away by federal agents.

The FBI dubbed him the Roscoe Bandit, saying he used a long-barreled pistol.

The FBI says Mitchell had an ID from Mississippi, but they don't know if it is authentic.

He was wanted in robberies of two banks in downtown Seattle in July, a bank in Olympia on Oct. 30, and another in Spokane last Friday.

Police in Grants Pass say the FBI alerted them that Mitchell could be working at the recycling center.
