State inmate flees work detail in McComb, search underway

MCCOMB, Mississippi — Authorities are searching for a Pike County Community Work Center inmate who fled a detail at the McComb City Barn where he was working.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections said in a news release that 19-year-old Dustin Larrison was last seen at the barn about 11:15 a.m. Monday. Officials say he was wearing MDOC state-issued green and white striped pants and a white MDOC shirt with "MDOC Convict" printed on the back.

Larrison is described as a white, with blue eyes, blonde hair and weighing 190 pounds with tattoos on both arms. He was serving a seven-year sentence for three counts of burglary from Jackson County.

Anyone with any information on Larrison's whereabouts should contact local law enforcement or MDOC at 662-745-6611.
