DEL MAR, California — Mega Heat rallied from next-to-last to win the $65,000 feature for older horses by a half-length Thursday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Corey Nakatani, Mega Heat ran one mile on the Jimmy Durante turf course in 1:34.86 and paid $11.60, $5.60 and $3.

Power Ped returned $8 and $4.40, while Hay Dude was another half-length back in third and paid $3 to show as the 6-5 favorite in the field of seven.

Mega Heat earned his ninth win in 21 starts.

Bettys Bambino was scratched at the starting gate after she lost a shoe and was withdrawn by the stewards.
