HONOLULU — Authorities say they've captured an inmate who escaped from Oahu Community Correctional Center earlier this week.
The state Department of Public Safety says sheriff deputies caught Daniel Skelton Wednesday afternoon near the School Street Chevron Station in Nuuanu.
Skelton escaped from the jail on Monday.
Department spokeswoman Toni Schwartz says it appears Skelton punched a hole through a shower area to get into the ceiling and onto the jail's roof. She says he jumped down and got out through a "weak spot" in the fence.
He was spotted Wednesday morning running between homes in the Nuuanu area. He was sporting orange hair and wearing a tank top and shorts.
