EUNICE, Louisiana — A fugitive surrendered to law enforcement agencies after his second escape from custody.

The Daily World reports ( ) St. Landry Parish sheriff's deputies, Eunice police and Louisiana State Police captured 21-year-old Theobegi Levier in a field in Eunice shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Levier, who was in jail on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery, had been on the run for more than 10 days after he escaped from jail personnel as they moved him from a health care unit.

In February, Levier spent three weeks as a fugitive from Opelousas City Marshals. Authorities captured him that time in Ville Platte. Both times he escaped, officers says Levier was in restraints.
