ATLANTA — A man who was shot in the face near an Atlanta park has survived.
Police say the 25-year-old victim was shot near D.H. Stanton Park in southeast Atlanta while sitting in an SUV Saturday afternoon. WGCL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1EZOwk9 ) the vehicle had been flagged down by several people in the area. When the vehicle pulled to the curb, the group of men opened fire.
WAGA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1QxtEG8 ) the victim was shot in the face and drove to a nearby gas station. He was taken to a hospital, where is recovering from his injuries. His name has not been released
Police say they are looking for the suspected shooters.
