WASHINGTON — Irish eyes will smile on the White House on St. Patrick's Day.

President Barack Obama and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny will meet on March 17 to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and discuss what the White House says are "issues of mutual concern."

Vice President Joe Biden will participate in the Oval Office meeting.

Before the meeting, Biden and Kenny will have breakfast at Biden's official residence at the Naval Observatory.

Obama also will host an evening reception to celebrate his seventh St. Patrick's Day at the White House.

The White House says Biden will meet separately with Peter Robinson, who leads Northern Ireland's Catholic-Protestant government, and his deputy, Martin McGuinness, to discuss a recent agreement to sustain their troubled coalition.
