SAN DIMAS, California — Traffic is slowly moving again in both directions at the scene of a big-rig crash on Interstate 210 in eastern Los Angeles County.
The California Highway Patrol reports the driver suffered a broken leg when the westbound tractor-trailer careened into the center divider around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday in San Dimas.
The tractor overturned but the trailer remained upright. Crews used a crane to remove the crumpled big-rig.
The CHP says debris from the damaged divider struck was spread across lanes and struck another westbound vehicle, but that driver was not hurt.
The freeway was briefly shut down in both directions before officials began reopening lanes one at a time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. City News Service reports speed may have been a factor.
