CLAYTON, Missouri — A 46-year-old suburban St. Louis man whose crashed car led to the 2012 death of a trucker has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/1oVRWML ) that Matthew P. Snyders of Webster Groves admitted Monday he had been at more than twice the legal alcohol limit to drive when he crashed his car Sept. 27, 2012, on Interstate 44 in Eureka.

After Snyders' car crashed into a guardrail and stopped in the middle westbound lane, 34-year-old Joshua W. Sanders, of Rolla, swerved his tractor-trailer to avoid the stopped vehicle but hit it. Sanders died in the crash.

Sentencing is Sept. 11 for Snyders, who faces five to 15 years in prison.
