Biloxi woman dies when SUV runs off Mississippi 57 into Black Creek in George County

BENNDALE, Mississippi — A 26-year-old Biloxi woman died when the vehicle she was driving landed in a creek off Mississippi 57 in George County.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Benjamin Seibert tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1TfO33W) Amanda Leigh Ramshur was northbound in a 2006 Toyota 4Runner about 8:57 a.m. Sunday when the sport utility vehicle ran off the left side of the two-lane road and landed in Black Creek,

Seibert says the 4Runner left the road at a curve about six miles south of Benndale.

Firefighters were called to the scene and divers recovered her body.

The accident remains under investigation.
