DETROIT — Police say a 12-year-old boy has been wounded in a shooting outside a home on Detroit's southwest side.

Police say the boy was with his brother about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when gunshots were fired from a passing car that was carrying two or three people.

The boy was taken to hospital with injuries that police say weren't believed to be life-threatening. No one else was reported hurt.
