NEW YORK — Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in the fatal stabbing of a woman in Bronx park.
Jasmine Gonzalez was found just before 6 a.m. Sunday inside Bronx River Park in the Wakefield section.
Police say the 22-year-old woman had been stabbed several times in the torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Khiry Borden was arrested late Sunday on charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
A sister of the victim tells WABC-TV (http://7ny.tv/1JImZbT ) that Borden was Gonzalez's former boyfriend and the father of her 2-year-old son.
The sister says Borden lives in a shelter in Brooklyn.
It wasn't clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
