LITITZ, Pennsylvania — A Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he set fire to a woman's private area while also beating her over several days

Online court records don't list an attorney for 46-year-old Donald Hackman Jr., of Lititz.

He remained in the Lancaster County Prison on Tuesday and faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 23 on charges including arson, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

The Lancaster Intelligencer/New Era (http://bit.ly/1Bp2g5B ) reports the woman and her young son had been staying with Hackman for about a month when he allegedly attacked her over several days. He was charged Saturday.

Police say Hackman punched the woman in the face and stomach and beat her with a belt. Hackman also allegedly yelled at her for crying after setting her afire. She's recovering in the Lehigh Valley Hospital burn unit.
