PINE BLUFF, Arkansas — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has released the name of an officer involved in a shooting that wounded a man at a Pine Bluff bar.

Maj. Lafayette Woods says Investigator Randy Jackson is on paid leave following Saturday's shooting at Swann's Bar & Grill. Authorities say Jackson was involved in a shooting that wounded 36-year-old Dedric Jones, though no details of what led to the shooting have been released.

Jones was shot in the chest and is in stable condition at a hospital.

Woods says Jackson will remain on paid leave pending the completion of an internal investigation. He says a separate criminal investigation has been conducted and the case file has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office, which will determine whether to file charges in the case.
