Woman dies after being rescued from fire in her Baltimore County home

HAMPTON VILLAGE, Maryland — Baltimore County police and fire officials say a woman has died after being rescued from a fire in her home.

Authorities the fire was reported about 7:35 a.m. Sunday in a home on Valley View Road in Hampton Village. Firefighters rescued the lone occupant, a 58-year-old woman, from the home.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Detective say the woman intentionally started the fire.
