CHICAGO — A Chicago woman has been ordered held on $500,000 bond in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/1t4zINK ) 29-year-old Erika Jett was charged with first-degree murder in Cook County court Sunday. She is accused of killing 30-year-old Rodney Wilson on Thursday at her home in Chicago's Austin neighborhood.
Prosecutors say they got into a heated argument and exchanged blows in front of Wilson's children. They say a witness removed the kids from the room.
Prosecutors say Jett stabbed Wilson in his arm, chest and neck after the kids were gone. They say a witness eventually persuaded Jett to drop the knife and called 911.
Prosecutors say responders found Wilson bleeding profusely on the floor. He died at an area hospital.
Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney for Jett.
