CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia — The Virginia Film Festival has expanded the lineup for this year's event.
More than 20 new films have been added to the lineup of more than 100 titles. They include "Brooklyn," ''Youth" and "Embrace of the Serpent."
The festival will be held Nov. 5-8 at venues across Charlottesville.
Guests scheduled to appear at the festival include actor Meg Ryan, director Oliver Stone and film critic and historian Leonard Maltin.
Festival officials say in a news release that Ryan, producer Janet Brenner and actors Alex Neustaedter and Lois Robbins will participate in a post-screening discussion of Ryan's directorial debut, "Ithaca," which was filmed in Virginia.
