MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — West Virginia will open the 2015-16 men's basketball season at home against Northern Kentucky on Nov. 13.

WVU released its 13 game non-conference schedule Tuesday, including road games against Florida and Virginia Tech and a matchup with Virginia in the Jimmy V Classic in New York City.

The Mountaineers will play games in Morgantown on Nov. 20 and Nov. 23 as part of the Las Vegas Invitational against either Hawaii, Sam Houston State, Bethune-Cookman or Liberty. WVU then will fly to Las Vegas for two more games.

Other home opponents include Kennesaw State on Dec. 5, Louisiana Monroe on Dec. 13 and Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 21.

WVU will play in Charleston on Nov. 16 against James Madison and on Dec. 17 — a Thursday — against cross-state rival Marshall.
