Firefighters say 21 displaced by fire that sent thick smoke over San Francisco neighborhood


SAN FRANCISCO — A fire at a San Francisco tire shop has displaced 21 people and sent thick black smoke over the city skyline.

The San Francisco fire department reported the three-alarm fire in the Mission District early Saturday.

The fire involved a tire shop and nearby residential buildings. The San Francisco Fire Department reports that the fire displaced 17 adults and four children.

No injuries have been reported.
