FREEHOLD, New Jersey — A woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in front of his children last summer has been indicted on attempted murder charges.
Monmouth County prosecutors say 35-year-old Natacha Perez also faces two weapons charges and a child endangerment count in the indictment recently handed up by a county grand jury.
The charges stem from a July 6 incident at her Tinton Falls home.
Authorities say the 29-year-old man and his children were spending the weekend at the home. But Perez became angry at him and told him to leave.
As the man and his children waited outside for a ride, Perez allegedly threw a large knife at him, puncturing his chest. She then allegedly lunged at him with another knife.
The man was treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries.
It wasn't known Monday if Perez has retained an attorney.
