REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware — Officials say a fire heavily damaged an apartment above a restaurant in Rehoboth Beach.

The State Fire Marshal's Office says the blaze was reported about 2 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment over the Just in Thyme Restaurant on Robinson Drive. Volunteer firefighters extinguished the blaze; there were no injuries.

Investigators say the cause of the fire was cooking materials left heating without supervision.

The fire caused $50,000 in damage.
