GRAHAM, North Carolina — A North Carolina man has been found guilty a second time in the death of a 16-year-old.

The Burlington Times News (http://bit.ly/1PXTe55 ) reports 40-year-old Lawrence Donnell Flood Sr. was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday for killing Gregory Jerrod Watlington in 2007. Jurors found him guilty of first-degree murder among other charges.

Authorities say Flood lured Watlington to his apartment in Graham on August 11, 2007, with the pretext of selling him drugs. Flood restrained the teen in his kitchen and shot him in the head in front of two witnesses who later dumped Watlington's body. A motive is unclear.

Flood was found guilty of the crimes during a death-penalty trial in 2009, but that verdict was overturned by the N.C. Court of Appeals, which also ordered a new trial.
