LINCOLN, Nebraska — Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is co-offensive player of the week in the Big Ten, sharing the award with Indiana running back Jordan Howard.
The weekly honor is the first of Armstrong's career. Armstrong set a career high with 431 yards of total offense in a 36-28 win over Southern Mississippi. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns, while carrying the ball seven times for 63 yards and one score.
Armstrong has accounted for almost 1,400 yards of total offense through four games. He's thrown for 1,266 yards and 11 touchdowns, while adding 118 rushing yards.
