NEWARK, New Jersey — One teen is dead and another wounded in gunfire in Newark.

Authorities say 17-year-old Cheyenne Bond of Irvington was shot and died on South 17th Street Sunday night.

A 17-year-old boy was wounded and is being treated at a hospital. His name has not been released.

The shootings came hours after 41-year-old Maria Cruz of Rockaway, New York, was gunned down in Newark's North Ward.

At approximately 11 p.m. Saturday in the West Ward, 33-year-old Raheem Hughes of East Orange was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police report no apparent motive or suspects.
