$100K bond set for woman accused in fatal hit-and-run accident in January involving pedestrian

PHOENIX — Bond is set at $100,000 for a Chandler woman accused of a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian earlier this year.

Wanda Snow House had her initial court appearance Friday after being arrested Thursday on a grand jury warrant.

The 55-year-old House is being held on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Maricopa County Superior Court documents show House has not hired a lawyer for her case yet.

Documents filed in court state that House was driving in a bicycle lane on Jan. 14 when she allegedly hit Frances Johnston, who suffered fatal injuries.

House later told investigators that she stopped but didn't see anything unusual and drove home.

Court reports say House never called the police or reported the incident to her insurance company.
