OMAHA, Nebraska — The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District says recreational access to the Elkhorn River has been restored.

The Omaha-based district had closed the access sites on Friday because high water from heavy rain had made boating more dangerous.

The district said Wednesday that the access had been restored.
