GRESHAM, Oregon — Gresham police have identified a man killed in a shooting last week as 22-year-old Ravell Sterling of Portland.

Officer John Rasmussen says detectives are still trying to determine the circumstances that led to the Friday afternoon homicide and whether Sterling knew the three Washington suspects jailed after the shooting.

Authorities arrested the men — 23-year-old Rony Celis of Renton, 20-year-old Chargles Moimoi of SeaTac and 18-year-old Clayton Harrell of Des Moines — after an officer spotted a brown Cadillac matching the suspects' vehicle heading northbound on Interstate 5.

Police chased the suspects into Washington, exceeding speeds of 100 miles an hour before stopping them in Cowlitz County. The men were booked into the Cowlitz County Jail pending charges related to the homicide.
