NEW HAVEN, Connecticut — Morgan Roberts hooked up with Sebastian Little on a 52-yard catch-and-run touchdown with 32 seconds to go and Cornell beat Yale 33-26 on Saturday in the Ivy League opener for both teams.
The score capped a 20-point second half comeback for the Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0). Yale tied the game with an eight-play, 64-yard drive with 1:12 left on Roberts' 8-yard touchdown pass to Robert Clemons III. After Cornell's three-and-out that took just 23 seconds, Roberts found Stephen Buric for 19 yards to set up the game-winning play.
Roberts finished 25 of 47 for 371 yards and three touchdowns, and added a 7-yard touchdown run. Little had four catches for 100 yards. Clemons finished with eight receptions for 86 yards.
Robert Somborn was 20 of 30 for 238 yards and three touchdowns for Cornell (0-2, 0-1). The Big Red led 26-13 at halftime.
