6-year-old Worcester girl injured in traffic crash earlier this month in Sturbridge dies

STURBRIDGE, Massachusetts — Police say a 6-year-old Worcester girl injured in a car crash in Sturbridge earlier this month has died.

Police tell The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/1fEoPOj ) that Jenell Davis succumbed to her injuries last week, about a week after the two-vehicle crash on Route 20 on June 13 that left her mother, her sister and two others injured.

The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. when a Toyota Highlander driven by Jenell's mother, Marzey Franklin, collided with a pickup truck headed in the opposite direction.

Jenell was a student at Woodland Academy School in Worcester and had recently completed kindergarten. She was a member of Lighthouse Chapel International Church in Worcester.

The accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
