MURRAY, Kentucky — Abou Toure rushed for 234 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries — all career highs — and Tennessee-Martin beat Murray State 62-38 on Saturday.
Toure finished with the third-best rushing performance in the program's history. His previous high was 128, against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 9. He became the first UT-Martin player to reach the 200-yard mark since 2008.
Jarod Neal passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Skyhawks rolled up 595 yards offense, 402 on the ground, in picking up their fourth consecutive victory.
KD Humphries completed 38 of 60 passes for 425 yards and five touchdowns for the Racers (3-6, 1-4 Ohio Valley), the second time this season he went over 400 yards and had five scores.
The Skyhawks (5-5, 4-3) never trailed after Neal's 5-yard run, the first of three UTM touchdowns in the first quarter. They led 35-17 at halftime.
