MUNCIE, Indiana — Authorities say a man shot during a standoff with Muncie police has died.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn says 35-year-old Shawn Michael Ruble was pronounced dead Monday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following the shooting. An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.

Ruble had been holding police at bay in a detached garage in the city.
