Bridgeport police try to identify gunman who opened fire on another man, injuring victim

BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut — Police in Bridgeport are trying to figure out who shot a 20-year-old man before fleeing the scene on foot.

Authorities say Anthony Holmes of Bridgeport was shot in the area of Remington Street at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Police officers responding to a report of gunshots found the victim. His injuries are Authorities say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses.

Authorities did not immediately release additional details, including the possible motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
