BISMARCK, North Dakota — North Dakota's Game and Fish Department is urging deer hunters to find their license and check it for accuracy.
The agency says that every year its licensing section receives last-minute inquiries from hunters who can't find their license. Officials say it's difficult for Game and Fish to get a replacement license out in time for the season opener.
This year's deer gun season is less than a month away. It begins at noon on Nov. 7 and runs through Nov. 23.
Game and Fish says another reason to check the license now is to make sure the unit and species is what was intended.
