Defending Class 5A champion Pulaski Academy hosts Hope in second round of playoffs

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Class 5A defending state champion Pulaski Academy has defeated some of the best in-state and out-of-state competition this season.

The Bruins (11-0) will face one of their most difficult remaining challenges on the way to a second straight title when they host Hope on Friday night.

Pulaski Academy has won 24 straight games following a loss last season to Highland Park (Texas), a defeat it avenged with a season-opening 40-13 win this year, and it's scored 40 or more points in all but two games.

The Bobcats (9-2) are led by senior defensive end McTelvin Agim, an Arkansas commitment, and their only two losses are to teams — Nashville and Hot Springs Lakeside — with a combined 20-2 record.

Pulaski Academy looks unstoppable, as does Agim.
