Olympiakos beats PAOK 1-0 in Greek league, widens lead over second-place AEK to 19 points

ATHENS, Greece — Olympiakos beat PAOK 1-0 and increased its lead at the top of the Greek league to 19 points with AEK's 1-0 defeat at Atromitos earlier Sunday.

Olympiakos has now won 20 of 21 league games with a 1-1 draw at Platanias. PAOK is in fourth place. Nine rounds are left.

Omar Elabdellaoui scored with a shot inside the area in the 8th minute to give Olympiakos the win.

Both teams ended the game with 10 players as PAOK's Giorgos Tzavellas and Olympiakos' Sasa Zdjelar were dismissed with a second yellow card within four minutes of each other midway through the second half.

Also, Veria beat Kalloni 2-0 and Iraklis edged out Giannena 1-0.
