MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins has announced two recruits for next season.

Huggins announced the signings Wednesday of 6-foot-7 forward Esa Ahmad of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and 6-foot guard James Bolden of Covington, Kentucky.

Ahmad averaged more than 26 points and 11 rebounds as a junior last season. Huggins says Ahmad is very good at creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.

Bolden averaged nearly 21 points and four rebounds a year ago.

A previous version of this story incorrectly said Huggins announced the signings Thursday. The signings were announced Wednesday.
