JACKSON, Wyoming — A fire on the west end of Jackson has heavily damaged six businesses in a strip mall building but no one was hurt.
The fire occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday in a largely commercial area along the town's main thoroughfare but well outside the historic downtown area.
Town spokeswoman Charlotte Reynolds says the damaged businesses included two restaurants, a gun shop, an engraving business and a laundry.
Reynolds says a nearby apartment building and The Lodge at Jackson Hole were temporarily evacuated but were not damaged by the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Reynolds says investigators from the State Fire Marshal's office will help local firefighters with the investigation.
