State police say a police officer has been injured in an accident involving a school bus

SACATON, Arizona — State police say a police officer has been injured in an accident involving a school bus.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves says an on-duty Gila River Indian Community police office's vehicle collided with a school bus.

Graves says the six children on the school bus weren't injured but that the officer is hospitalized for a broken leg and head injuries.

No other details were released.
