HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pennsylvania — A jury has been picked for next month's trial of a central Pennsylvania man charged with using a prison computer to email threats to bomb the county courthouse and disrupt the local water supply.
The Altoona Mirror (http://bit.ly/1LAibEwA ) reports the jury of eight women and four men was selected in about two hours Monday in Blair County.
Twenty-five-year-old Adam Hardin will face trial Aug. 12 on charges he sent the threats in October 2013, while incarcerated in another case.
Although the threats were hoaxes, the Altoona Water Authority warned thousands of customers not to use tap water for about two days.
The trial has been delayed by defense concerns over whether an impartial jury could be selected.
Hardin also wanted to act as his own attorney, but has agreed to have one, instead.
