NEWPORT, Arkansas — A 22-year-old Jonesboro man has pleaded guilty in the 2013 shooting death of a Newport man.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ( ) reports Christopher D. Lee pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated robbery in Jackson County Circuit Court. A circuit judge sentenced Lee to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Another man was charged in the death of 66-year-old Harold Lee Hagar, whose body was found on a Jackson County road with a gunshot wound to his head.

Twenty-one-year-old Garrett Allen Chamblis pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and abusing a corpse in January. He was sentenced to 47 years in prison.

Police said in an arrest affidavit that the men met Hagar at Craighead Forest Park, robbed him and took his car.
