NEW YORK — New York University's administration has reached a tentative deal with a union representing graduate assistants.
The school and the United Auto Workers reached the agreement on Monday evening, averting a possible strike.
The Wall Street Journal (http://on.wsj.com/1GnnQcr ) says that, if ratified, it would be the first contract for the only union in the country recognized by a private university.
Details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
