CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri — Dante Vandeven threw for 125 yards and ran for 91 yards with two touchdowns to help lead Southeast Missouri State to a 38-17 win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday.
Tremane McCullough added 138 yards rushing for the Redhawks (3-5, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference) including and 81-yard touchdown run.
Southeast Missouri State also had two special teams touchdowns, a Paul McRoberts 69-yard punt return and a Darrius Darden-Box 7-yard blocked punt return for a score.
Tennessee Tech (2-7, 1-5) held a 10-7 lead after the first quarter on the strength of a John Arnold 47-yard field goal and Dorian Carter 1-yard TD run. But the Redhawks erupted from there, scoring 24 unanswered points to grab a 31-10 lead after three quarters and effectively put the game out of reach.
Brock McCoin threw for 192 yards and rushed for 96 to lead the Golden Eagles.
