GULFPORT, Mississippi — A South Mississippi man indicted on federal charges of distribution and possession of child pornography has informed the court of his intent to plead guilty.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/17l7hmf ) a federal grand jury handed down the indictment against 48-year-old Timothy Winfred Miller in January.
According to court records, Winfred is scheduled to enter a plea Friday before U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden.
According to the indictment, Miller on or about April 19, 2013, in Harrison County distributed visual depictions of children engaged in sexual acts via the Internet.
In addition, he's accused on Nov. 20, 2013, in Harrison County of possessing child pornography on a laptop computer.
Miller is under home confinement on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
