Weather forecast calls for snowfall accumulation in parts of northern Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Weather forecasters say northern Arizona will have its first snow accumulation of the season this week.

Totals will range from a trace to 2 inches along the Mogollon Rim. Flagstaff, Jacob Lake, areas north of Payson and southeast of Show Low, and parts of the Navajo Nation will be on the higher end.

The San Francisco Peaks and the White Mountains could get even more snow.

The National Weather Service says the snow is expected to start falling Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday night.

A combination of wind and snow could make travel difficult in the region.
