NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Nashville Predators host the Carolina Hurricanes on Oct. 8 to begin a 2015-16 season in which the NHL All-Star Game comes to Bridgestone Arena.

The Predators released their schedule Thursday.

The Predators have a five-game homestand from Nov. 7-17 and follow the All-Star break with four straight home games. Nashville hosts the All-Star Game on Jan. 31.

The Predators get their first shots at the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks in consecutive games Dec. 8 at Chicago and Dec. 10 at Nashville. The Blackhawks eliminated the Predators in six games in the first round of the 2015 playoffs.

The schedule includes five-game road trips Nov. 20-27 and March 5-14. The second five-game trip occurs when Bridgestone Arena hosts the Southeastern Conference men's basketball tournament.
