ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police have released the name of the man killed Friday afternoon on a motorcycle.

Police say 42-year-old Robert Dale Sealey died in the crash.

Witnesses told police Sealey at about 2:30 p.m. Friday was driving northwest on Breezewood Drive near Spenard Road and International Airport Road when a shopping bag he was carrying slid off the bike handle and hit the ground.

Witnesses said Sealey looked back at the bag over his shoulder, causing him to veer off the road.

Police say he braked but struck a tree at Klamath Drive.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say distracted driving appears to be the cause of the crash.

Sealey was wearing a helmet.
