Belcourt woman accused of pulling hair from child says she will plead guilty to federal charge

MINOT, North Dakota — A Belcourt woman accused of pulling a clump of hair from the head of a 2-year-old child says she will plead guilty in federal court.

Twenty-year-old Brooke Ann Davis was charged with child abuse for the May 15 incident. She faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Davis told authorities she was drinking the day of the incident and does not remember what happened.

A federal public defender could not be reached for comment.
