BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut — Police say a 22-year-man has been fatally shot in Bridgeport after what may have been an ongoing dispute.

Police said Juvontee Tinsley was shot in the chest Saturday night by someone in a car he approached outside a house on Ohio Avenue.

Witnesses told police Tinsley went to speak to someone in the car and someone inside the vehicle shot him in the chest around 9 p.m. He died later at Bridgeport Hospital.

Police said the driver then fled on Ohio Avenue, drove through a yard at a dead end and was last seen going south on East Main Street.

Police said Tinsley was suspected of firing shots at a house on Velvet Street earlier on Saturday.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Bridgeport police.
